The objective of the Corporate Sustainability Forum is to strengthen the business contribution to sustainable development globally – seeking to bring greater scale and quality to implementation of corporate sustainability practices, innovation and collaboration. The Forum will provide a venue for business, industry and investors to meet with Governments, local authorities, civil society and UN entities – with 2,000 participants expected. Consisting of dozens of highly focused workshops and thematic sessions linked to the Rio+20 agenda, the Forum will highlight leading sustainability practices and partnerships, as well as provide a platform to announce new commitments.
The UN Global Compact seeks sponsorships to cover the cost of the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum. Sponsorship provides a unique opportunity for organizations to demonstrate commitment to corporate sustainability on a global stage. Notably, sponsorship at the “Gold” level will support participation by Member States from Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States at the UN Rio+20 conference.
