With over 2,000 expected participants, the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum will give business and investors an opportunity to meet with governments, local authorities, civil society and UN entities in dozens of highly focused workshops and thematic sessions linked to the Rio+20 agenda.

Representatives from other stakeholder groups, including civil society and labour organizations, business associations, academic institutions, governments and the United Nations, will be invited by the Global Compact Office directly. See below for more information.
Select civil society organizations (CSOs) will be invited to participate in the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum. These participants include representatives from the Rio+20 Major Groups, organizations participating in Global Compact working groups, initiatives and platforms, and organizations with a long-standing working relationship with the Global Compact. A maximum of two participants may attend from each invited CSO.
The Global Compact will collaborate with the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN NGLS) which will assist in identifying CSOs to participate; promote and disseminate information about the Forum to CSOs; and communicate Forum outcomes to CSOs.
The UN Global Compact encourages Governments to actively participate in, promote and support the Forum. Governments are invited to attend the Forum, and each Member State will receive two transferrable passes to attend the Forum. The UN Global Compact will invite Heads of UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes to participate in the Forum. The invitation is transferable. Invited UN Organizations will receive up to two complimentary passes. UN entities that are partners of the Forum will receive three complimentary passes.
